I am just staggered, people.

As of 3 pm, the total amount of money going to Ethiopia is TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY SEVEN dollars.

Praise God.

I have to go call my mom.

I have tears in my eyes right now.

    Praise God!

I read of your fundraiser on steppinheavenward.blogspot.com I read her blog all the time, although have never commented. And I believe I will start reading yours too! My husband and I just had our fifth baby, and since before we were married we have felt called to adopt internationally someday. I pray daily for our future children who will be brought into our family through adoption and hope that should one of our children be from Ethiopia that they were once wrapped in a blanket of love through such a wonderful fundraiser!

I’m praying that you surpass the $2500 mark, that you could provide both the goal of 100 blankets, the new washer, and more!

Maybe a commercial dryer is in the plan? God is good! Thanks to you and your family for being His hands and feet in ET!

This touches me for many obvious reasons, but especially because of a conversation my younger son and I had recently. I had just sent 2 handmade quilts to a friend who had two baby girls enter her life. My son told me that in Ethiopia, he and his brothers were cold, and that he wanted me to send blankets to babies in Ethiopia.

Gulp! So happy about this, about how large the sum has gotten to, that a washer may be purchased. Hurray!

This is fantastic news!!! Sounds like the industrial washer is on the ticket along with blankets. Do they need an industrial dryer too. Why not, God is so good in getting the word out here and Paypal is my pal for sharing safely over the internet.
Praise God and asking Him to double or triple the amount. This is such a wonderful “Mission”.

    Love, Laurie in Ca.

  • About Me

I'm Mary, wife to John, and mom to 10 kids ages 3-20. Six of them were adopted, from Ethiopia and Korea. I spend my days applying Bandaids, reminding kids to use their inside voices, persuading kids fractions are useful, cooking spicy ethnic food, and snapping gig after gig of pictures. Very late at night, I write about it all.
