About Me
I'm Mary, wife to John, and mom to 10 kids ages 3-20. Six of them were adopted, from Ethiopia and Korea. I spend my days applying Bandaids, reminding kids to use their inside voices, persuading kids fractions are useful, cooking spicy ethnic food, and snapping gig after gig of pictures. Very late at night, I write about it all.

Painter’s tape?
Yes– it is nice and bright, and it comes off the counter easily. I’ve been amazed that even the three year old has been interested in doing addition this way!
Mary
What a neat idea. My youngest daughter would really enjoy this.
My 3 year old added something up today and I was amazed. We haven’t worked on that, but obviously, she’s been listening to her 5 year old brother’s homeschooling.
I’m going to do with with her. I love manipulatives.
Great idea – thanks
What a wonderful and sweet idea!
What a fun idea!
Thanks for the idea. I have been thinking about how I can homeschool for very little next year without missing out on quality. This is a great idea that would cost nest to nothing.
Blessings,
Dawn
Thanks for sharing!
We use painters tape for everything! It also makes a good mark on the wall for aiming for young boys who can’t sit still while learning.
Wow, what a great idea! Thanks for sharing.
That is an awesome idea! I am going to have to try that with my oldest. Thanks for the tip!
What a sweet picture and good idea!
BTW, I won the Ethiopian bead necklace in your give-away quite awhile ago now. I wear it fairly frequently. I just wore it this week with a black shirt. Thanks again!!!!!
Picture’s worth a thousand words! Great tip
I LOVE this idea!!!! Thank you!!!!
That’s a cool idea! I wish I’d learned math in a more “visual” way. I think it would’ve helped me understand it more.
What a super idea! And my girls enjoyed seeing the picture of your girls having fun with math! Gotta get me some painter’s tape today!
GREAT idea! I’ll be trying this soon, for sure.
Love this idea so much I’m blogging about it! Always looking for great Math ideas!
Blessings,
Valerie
