Smokin’

July 23, 2008 by Mary Owlhaven

If your 3-yr-old barrels into you making your camera hit the ground, get dented, and start SMOKING, could you safely assume said camera is a goner?

Thankfully we still have my husband’s camera. Same brand except 5 megapixels.

But still. Boohoo.

If it’s a canon you can call their tech number and ask about the canon loyalty program. You might be able to upgrade it even better for less than $100 bucks!

I dented my lens just last week but no smoke. The lens wouldn’t come out the first few times we tried to turn it on again but hubby wiggled the lens base a few times and I haven’t had a problem since. I can sometimes hear it pop though as the lens comes out. but of course, there was no smoking involved. Who knows? maybe its still ok? Didn’t canon field test for a barreling 3 yr. old? Maybe you should call canon and you could become there field tester- who better than a mother of 10.

I really enjoyed meeting you at Blogher.
I’m looking forward to reading your blog and learning more about your amazing family.
(We had two broken camera’s over the weekend… it makes me too sad to talk about. I feel your pain.)

Oh, I’m sorry. They break if they are left out in the rain in the bottom of a stroller basket. I should know. :(
