How Much Do Kids Cost?

October 19, 2006 by Mary Owlhaven

I’ve got a new post up over at LargerFamilies.com
How Much Does It REALLY Cost TO Raise A Child? I decided that I could only answer this question for my own family, so I laid it all out there for you to see. Go comment, OK?

There’s also the matter of the free movie tickets!! Fifty-four people left me guesses, and can you believe NO ONE got it exactly? However several people were very close. And the closest of the close was Carol (Frugal Finds From your Frugal Friend).

Carol guessed 370 jars. On the day that my daughter counted, there were actually 374 jars. Carol, email me privately (you’ll find my email link by clicking ‘About’ at the top of this page) and I will send you those movie passes!!

Thanks to everyone who played. It was really fun to see those guesses rolling in!

I should have gone with my hunch that you had given away/eaten 15 of them then I would have been only off by one.

How much do kids cost? All I know is that I’m not having kids for the tax break.
