I recently got a copy of Kiki magazine after reading about it someplace and thinking it sounded like fun. It is a magazine for tween girls that is part fashion, part crafts. The fashions, though adorable, were modest and young-girl appropriate. The issue I saw had ways to jazz up normal clothes, art lessons, and a fair bit of informative stuff about other countries. My girls enjoyed paging through this magazine. Tightwad that I am, I’m still trying to decide if I am going to pay the $24 a year that the subscription costs. But if you have a tweenish daughter who is interested in fashion and art, and you’ve been trying to find an alternative to the typical ‘teenage’ magazines, Kiki might be just the magazine for you.
